SAUERKRAUT (serves 4) 2 - 16 oz jars of Sauerkraut 2 tsp butter 1 med. onion 1 glass dry white wine 1 bay leaf 8 pepper corns 4 Knackwurst 2 kielbasa or garlic sausage 2 smoked pork shops 4 potatoes (boiled & peeled) Rinse sauerkraut in clear water, drain in collander, set aside. In the casserole, brown the onions in the butter. Add the sauerkraut to the browned onions by handfuls. Stir frequently until the sauerkraut is slightly browned. Wet with the wine. Add the bay leaf and pepper corns. Place uncooked knackwurst, kielbasa, pork chops on top with the potatoes. Cover the pot and simmer for 30 minutes.
